Seems its getting a little hot around here lately Theres something in the air that takes my breath away The rich are getting richer, sad satellite picture Ain’t it a shame, theres just fashion and fame Seems I might need to swallow a bitter pill Two poles to freeze they need a soul to squeeze Live in ethical squalor, burn us for a dollar Theres gold in those trees, its an industrial disease It might seem that you need to lend a hand We all want to live in a better land You can do this, you can try Spread your wings and learn how to fly and sound the alarm (4 times) Think I might need to cool down a little baby There something in my soul that got lost in the machine I don't see the passion just suicide in fashion So you sold us the drama, left us trapped in the dream Well I have got a little itch in my brain Just a little scratch would take the pain away Anarchy in motion, too much plastic in the ocean Glued to the street and the screen, listen like thieves It might seem that you need to lend a hand We all want to live in a better land You can do this, you can try Spread your wings and learn how to fly and sound the alarm The industrial revolution is all covered in rust Rust never sleeps it just oxidises the trust Two left feet, wont take you to the journeys end You’ve got a big mouth, use your words to mend

Lethal brand 04:31
They fly them in from interstate, completely unreliable It gets here all bent out of shape, completely unreliable Snuck it in through the back gate, completely unreliable Juggling with the hands of fate, completely unreliable Driving with a mission to waste, completely unreliable Now we’ve really got the taste, completely unreliable Moving slowly with great haste, completely unreliable This portrait is looking kinda fake, completely unreliable Dancing on the stool, taken to the school Two sheets to the wind Let the blowback begin Its a lethal brand, too much for any man Its a lethal brand, you gotta can the can Its a lethal brand, from the candy man They flew her in from interstate, completely unreliable She got here all bent out of shape, completely unreliable Sleeping with the head of state, completely unreliable Shuffling with the hands of fate, completely unreliable Dancing on the stool, taken from the school Two sheets to the wind, Let the blowback begin Its a lethal brand, too hot for any man Its a lethal brand, you gotta can the can Its lethal brand, from the candyman You gotta can the can, can the candy man Well the candy man its lethal brand.

You cannot fail to see by chance Nor are you a victim of circumstance You can make the whole world believe That what you see is what you really, should be You stand alone as time goes by It moves so quickly you don’t have to try so hard Your smile soon turns to a frown You take a deep breath and then you go down Into your dream’s, your deep dark dreams Into your dreams Your deep dark beautiful sweet dreams Standing like a convict on the shore Your soul got stripped you cannot take no more Brick by brick you will receive Visions of the future that fall at your feet While the fools are laughing in your street Their stories endlessly on repeat Inch by inch you leave this town You take a deep breath and then you down Into your dreams, your deep dark dreams Into your dreams, you deep dark dreams Into your dreams, your deep, dark, beautiful, sweet dreams Those memories are a sweet history They are a distant perfume to me

about

It has taken 4 years of blood, sweat, tears and practise to get these songs down after the first Rusty Falcon ep. These new tracks head in a different direction as life is constantly in motion. My song writing perspective changes with that motion. After performing most of these songs solo for a couple of years I am very pleased indeed to finally get these tracks recorded and on CD. The old adage of “nothing good ever comes out of giving up” still rings true to this day.
A big thanks to James Fox Higgins for his excellent production and musical skills on the bulk of these songs and my old friend Mark McCormack for his work on “Sound the alarm”. Big thanks to Wade Roskam at Parenna studios, King Island Radio, Tim Woodburn, Tim Leo, Jarred Perryman and my wonderful wife Elly for all of your valued support.
Without all of you this ep would not have happened.
Thanks to all those that buy and support the art of independent and local musicians.
Thanks to Mick McGrath for the support, the lessons and a bass part that got lost in the sands of time, or maybe in the mist of a whisky glass.
Special thanks to my ever supportive, proud and wonderful family.
To King Islanders wherever you are, clink your glasses and crank that stereo!
Your spirit makes this rock such a special place to be, may that spirit and your memories remain forever strong.
